Pallas Projects/Studios awardee of the Climate Actions Work Engagement Fund
Pallas Projects/Studios is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant by Community Foundation Ireland from the Climate Actions Work Engagement Fund.
On March 25th, Ministers Darragh O’Brien and Alan Dillon announced €500,000 in grants nationwide through the Climate Action Work Engagement Fund, managed by Community Foundation Ireland.
Through the support of the Climate Actions Work Engagement fund we will present Entangled Life, an engaging new programme exploring the deep connections between climate, society, and the ecosystems where art and community intertwine. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to support the wider ecology and community of humans and more-than-human.
Entangled Life unravels heterogeneous climate and social topics organically linked with the ecosystem where art emerges and the community interacts. It explores the links between climate issues and society, their relevance in our daily life and our community, and the relations between social issues and climate change. Local community, artists and scientists come together for a series of monthly workshops, panel discussions and artistic interventions across May to December this year.
Entangled Life is designed and led by Cristina Nicotra who was commissioned to develop a sustainability policy and action plan for Pallas 2024, and curated Earthbound Tales as part of Brigit: Dublin Celebrating Women 2025. Cristina is a multidisciplinary environmentally engaged artist. Cristina is a multidisciplinary environmentally engaged artist who holds a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Exhibition Making from NCAD and a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Entrepreneurship from Trinity College Dublin.
The Climate Actions Work Engagement fund is focused on climate engagement, awareness and communications and is a core component of the Climate Actions Work Programme based on the National Dialogue on Climate Action.
