Pallas Projects/Studios is happy to announce the publication of our sustainability policy

Pallas Projects/Studios is happy to announce the publication of our sustainability policy, a living document and foundation for our practices in the coming years.

Pallas decided to respond to the climate emergency and Arts Council invitation and acknowledge the position of our space in the wider ecology and community of human and more-than-human. We are committed to formally embedding ecological thinking in our organisation practice, and reducing our environmental impact through sustainable management practices.
In our chosen role as a constant agent of discourse and transformation, we recognise the need to address environmental and ecological concerns within and through artistic production.

To achieve this we commissioned the development of a sustainability policy and action plan. Since the beginning of 2024, we have engaged with our key stakeholders; management, staff and studio artists to collate feedback and ideas through a series of surveys and reports. Using the Julie’s Bicycle tool, we calculated our carbon emissions to guide our reduction efforts for next year. We have also revised our suppliers and chosen to be more intentional in our purchase decisions. We are committed to balancing our production and opportunities for artists with a clear focus on sustainability while prioritizing accessibility.

You can find the Sustainability document in our Get Involved website section.

The Sustainability Strategy was commissioned from artist Cristina Nicotra whose practice is focused on ecological interactions and holds a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Exhibition Making from @ncad_dublin @creativefuturesacademy and a postgraduate certificate in Climate Entrepreneurship from Trinity College Dublin @tcdportal #TrinityNaturalSciences @trinitycollegedublin
