Tadhg Kinsella

Tadhg Kinsella is a queer sound artist, percussionist and composer, based in Dublin, graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Trinity College Dublin. Tadhg focuses on the fusion of Sound art, Music and Technology. 

Specializing in electronic technologies and modular synthesis, they are currently supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and were awarded Contemporary Music Centre’s (CMC) emerging composers for 2024/25. Tadhg has a particular interest in working with multidisciplinary artists from visual artists to dancers. Everything from sound walks to interactive installations their works have been showcased at venues like the Culterim Galerie (Berlin), Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Iconarts (Sibu, Romania), Machina Bristronica (Bristol), and FYLKINGEN (Stockholm). 

In 2024, as part of Arts and Disability Ireland “New Work” Award; Tadhg presented "Continue Reading," their first solo sound exhibition at The Complex in Dublin. Exploring themes of disability and queer identity through sonic experimentation. 

Passionately involved in the Irish arts and queer scene, Tadhg founder and director of Dublin Modular, a non-profit organization promoting electronic music, multidisciplinary art fusion and inclusivity in Ireland's contemporary art culture.
