Lucy Sheridan

Lucy Sheridan’s work explores the natural world and, more specifically, man's relationship with it. She touches on ideas of anthropomorphism and the human desire to sanitise and tame nature. Her paintings express an innocent quality while at the same time may be seen as simultaneously possessing potentially dark and sinister connotations.

Lucy Sheridan graduated with a degree in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design in 2006. Recently Lucy had a solo, PARKed Life, in the Talbot Gallery on Talbot Street, Dublin. Recent group exhibitions include; Winter Open Show 2012, Rua Red, VUE 2011, National Contemporary Art Fair, RHA, COE 2011, Claremorris, Co Mayo, Imposing Nature, Monster Truck Gallery, Dublin, Import/ Export, SIM House, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland and Something tells me it’s all happening at the zoo, Kevin Kavanagh, Dublin.

She is also co-founder of the artist collective Scissors Cuts Paper.
