John Ryan

John Ryan (b. 1987) graduated from NCAD in 2011. He is a studio resident in Pallas Projects/Studios in The Coombe, Dublin 8.

He has had two solo exhibitions; Cling, on the first floor on Temple Bar Gallery and Studios as part of Jim Ricks curatorial project FLOORONEGALLERY (2013), and Polyptych Subsets: Experiments With Paint in The Joinery (2011). Recent group exhibitions have taken place in Block T in Smithfield; The Drawing Project in Dun Laoghaire; Beerslambert Contemporary in London; The Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London and Basic Space on Vicar Street.

He is the 2011 recipient of The Gilchrist-Fischer Award. In August 2013 his work will feature in the University of Minnesota Press publication Prismatic Ecologies: Ecotheory Beyond Green by literary theorist Jeffrey Jerome Cohen.
