Niamh Coffey—Chat! Chop! Conjoin!

A private workshop for members of a local queer knit club.

This workshop will introduce methods and research used to make the exhibition to facilitate participants to make their own fabric collages. Each participant will be given a document from the National Folklore collection archive. We will engage in a series of exercises to collage the imagery from our documents together before creating individual textile work based on new and imagined ecological relationships.

Emily Roche, a member of this knit club, will be responding creatively to the workshop through photography/collage, which will be available to share on Pallas' website after the exhibition. Emily will set a dress code for participants that will be detailed in an invite sent out closer to the event.
