Kevin Mooney in conversation with James Merrigan

For Culture Night at PP/S artist Kevin Mooney will be joined in conversation with James Merrigan to discuss his exhibition Wave at 9pm – all welcome!
Biographies:
Kevin Mooney graduated from NCAD with an MFA in 2012. Selected group exhibitions include “Making Familiar”, Temple Bar Gallery 2012, “Horizon Sprawl”, Ormston House, Limerick 2012, and “Video Killed the Radio Star”, Royal Hibernian Academy 2010. Solo shows include “Dog Island Tales” Talbot Gallery 2014, Nag Gallery 2010, “Timeline” Queen Street Gallery, Belfast, 2010 and “Facade”, Mermaid Arts Centre Bray 2009. He received a Visual Artists Bursary from the Arts Council in both 2012 and 2013. In 2013 he was also shortlisted for the Thames and Hudson publication “100 Painters of Tomorrow”.
James Merrigan is an artist and art critic. He has written for A-N Magazine, Aesthetica Magazine, Circa Magazine, Visual Artists’ News Sheet, and for several artist monographs. He is the founding editor of the online art journal +billion_, and co-founding editor of Fugitive Papers. Awards include the 2010/11 Red Stables Irish Artists’ Residential Studio, the inaugural Dublin City Council Arts Office/VAI Visual Arts Writing Award (2011), and an Arts Council Project Award (2011/12). A book of his art criticism was published in 2013 entitled Agents of Subjectivism.
