Siobhán O’Callaghan
Siobhán O’Callaghan (b. 1992) is a Dublin-based visual artist. Her work finds form primarily through oil paint, with drawing, photography and video contributing to the process. She investigates topics extending from body politics and intimacy to culture and the every day. Her current work is concerned with the Irish language, society and culture, as they relate to the body. An awareness of physicality and identity carries throughout her studio practice.
Siobhán studied Fine Art and Art History at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, graduating in 2015 with a First Class Honours degree and High Commendation. Recent exhibitions include DLR Lexicon's Utopia/Dystopia, Rua Red’s Winter Open, and Caoláit at Burren College of Art. She has continued her art education at the Art Students League of New York and Florence Academy of Art.
