Miranda Blennerhassett works with the medium of painted installation to engage with the relationship between art and architecture. Using this technique she explores the subjects of contemporary architecture, urban design, ornamentation and modernism. The work responds directly to the location’s contextual, formal and material qualities whilst incorporating motifs and themes from the research she is carrying out at the time.
Miranda Blennerhassett completed an MFA at NCAD in Dublin in 2011. Prior to that she was based in Scotland, graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee with a BA in 2004.
