Marion Pierce

Marion Pierce is a self-taught visual artist and a freelance arts & crafts and drama facilitator. Marion was selected for a project studio on the basis of her desire to re-concentrate on, and develop her art practice, and to facilitate her access to other artists, peers, exhibitions, artmaking and activities. She makes work using painting, mixed media, oil pastels, paper, ink, acrylic paint, pencil, wax pastels, dyes  and watercolour, and inspiration for her work comes from travel, in Nepal, Tibet and India. Additional influences for her work come from architecture, nature, illustration, physical/street theatre. As well as following her path as an artist, she is also a care worker, working with children with special needs.
