Andrej Getman

I am a painter and visual artist originally from Lithuania. Since 2005, I have been living and working in Ireland. I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fine Art - Painting from the National College of Art and Design.

My work revolves around exploring the interconnected themes of urbanization, socio-political injustice, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, and modern culture. In particular, I am deeply committed to researching and shedding light on the inequity, harassment, and persecution faced by the LGBTQ+ community, both in Ireland and on a global scale.

Through my art, I strive to create a visual narrative that resonates with viewers, challenging perspectives, and fostering dialogue. I employ a diverse range of techniques and mediums, often experimenting with mixed media and symbolism to convey my message in a powerful and thought-provoking manner.

As a visual artist, I believe in the power of art to evoke emotions and inspire positive change. Through my work, I strive to contribute to the ongoing fight for equality and social transformation.
