Alex Monedero

Living in Dublin since 2010, I am an outsider artist working mainly with wood. I am drawn specifically to furniture, pieces that sit in the home and gather memories. I acquire unwanted and forgotten items, antique pieces which have lost their shine and through labour and love, I return these items to their former glory. I build a relationship with each piece, reading the grain and studying its form, before carefully and kindly offering a helping hand.
