Seán Molloy
Seán Molloy is a Dublin-based fine art painter.
He received a 1st class BA in fine art painting (NCAD, 2011), followed by an MFA (NCAD, 2013).

Solo shows include: The Lost Estate (2020) and Landed (2018), both at the Molesworth Gallery (Dublin); Simulations at the Solstice Arts Centre (Navan, 2017); and Neo Pentimenti at the RHA Ashford gallery (Dublin, 2015).

Exhibitions abroad include: Dubliners at the Zagreb Biennial (2021), London Art Fair (2020), Molloy and Mullarney ( London Art Fair, 2019), 10 Years at the Charlie Smith Gallery and Painting Painting at the Eagle Gallery (both London, 2019), and the Contemporary Istanbul Art fair (2018).

Awards include: an Arts Council Visual Arts Bursary (2022), Fingal Artists Support Scheme Awards (2016-2023), RHA School Studio Artist's award (2017), the Thomas Damman Jr Memorial Trust Award (2015-2016) and the K&M Evans Painting Prize (2014). Longlisted for the Saatchi New Sensation prize, the sole Irish nominee.
In 2020 commissioned by Fingal County Council to make The Banks, a large work celebrating Balbriggan Strand. This is now installed as a permanent public artwork at Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.
