Karen Ebbs makes large-scale painting and sculpture installations with painting central to her process-led practice. Karen is long-listed for the RDS Visual Arts Awards 2023 and achieved first class honours degrees from NCAD in both her Masters in Fine Art, Painting in 2023 and her BA in Fine Art, Painting in 2021. She is an alumni of the RHA and a recipient of awards from the Arts Council Agility Award and DLRD CoCo, 2022. In 2021 she was granted the Clancy Quay Professional Development award.
Following a successful open call proposal, Karen was awarded a solo exhibition at the Municipal Lexicon Gallery in 2025. In 2024, she will have a solo show at Rathfarnham Castle. In 2022, Karen had a solo exhibitions at Farmleigh Cowshed Gallery, I Am more Blue than YOU and at the Lab Gallery, Wild Accumulations, curated by Sheena Barrett, also at the Lab Gallery she co-curated a group show of seven female emerging artists, New Beginnings. In 2022, Karen conceived, organised and hosted a series of talks at IMMA and The Complex, We Need To Talk About Painting. This successful talk series featured high profile contributors, curators, artists and educators
