Garreth Joyce (b. Cork 1980) is a graphic artist based in Dublin. He received a BA in Graphic Design from Limerick School of Art & Design in 2002. Along with his studio based practice Garreth develops art works and murals for various community projects, schools, colleges, commissions and brands. Garreth aims to create vibrant, complex and detailed artworks that tell stories and reveal histories.
Garreth has painted large scale murals with Ardu; Corks contemporary street art project, The Walls Project, Things Made Public, Waterford Walls, The Grey Area Project he has also exhibited artworks at the Library Project, European Month of Photography Berlin and EV+A, Limerick. He has worked on many community projects including; Gael Taca Cork, Re-Imagine Cork, Dublin Canvas, Peoples Republic of Cork, Liberties scheme Dublin 8 and ICCL Repeal Campaign. Garreth spends his spare time working on writing/making short films.
