Irene O Neill is a Kildare Based artist who works in Dublin. She graduated from NCAD in 2019 and her Degree Thesis is held in the NCAD Library. Her practice revolves around drawing and painting. She uses collage, own and found photography to construct paintings. Since graduation Irene spent two years with BKB Studios in Dublin. She has taken part in numerous shows including Rua Red Open Show (2020), CIACLA online in 2020, and Courtyard Gallery winter open in Ennistymon. She has also exhibited online with Artnet DLR and Nua Collective. Her work is held in private collections including St. Patrick’s University Hospital, Dublin.
She recently completed a CPD in Drawing and Painting with RHA Gallery School in Accredited by TU, Dublin. O’Neill’s recent work responds to global warming, environment, notions of memory and group dynamics. She would list her influences as Diebenkorn, Hockney, Manet, Morisot, and Caroline Walker.
