Cormac Healy is a working artist living in Dublin who specialises in traditional media with an expressionist flavour. He works with enormous canvases that achieve a magic of colour and form. Healy's work roots us firmly in the performance of its making, an ongoing dialogue between crafts aesthetics and insight. Graduating from Crawford College of Art and Design in 1995, Healy held a two-person show in Cork where His large scale canvases attracted considerable interest. In 2002 he organized and participated in ‘Vision Ireland’, an International Artists Plenary at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Annaghmakerrig, Monaghan. More recently his work has been exhibited along side the likes of Barrie Cooke and Robert Ballagh.
